Equine Assisted Learning

What is Equine Assisted Learning?

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is a fun form of therapy for all ages involving horses that help develop everyday life skills.

EAL involves clients working with horses to assist mental, emotional, physical development. Horses are strongly intuitive and are able to interpret their clients character traits to provide honest and heart to heart feedback therefore encouraging personal change and growth.

Sessions are tailored to individual needs and goals. The horses assist you or your child to work toward meeting identified goals. These can range from emotional regulation, motor skill development, speech, balance, social skills and much more!

EAL is also be a great opportunity to be out in nature connecting with horses. If you don’t have your own horse, one of my horses is available for non riding activities.

Riding Tuition

I offer general horse riding instruction for individuals and groups, specialising in dressage, flatwork, and showjumping. I provide instruction at locations to suit your requirements, for example at your own local riding club, or place of agistment.

Lessons range in time from 30 minutes to just over an hour. I like to tailor lessons to the requirements of the rider and horse, rather than adhering to a strict time limit.

Come and hang with the the horses! I operate from a variety of locations around Canberra, we can use your horses or mine. All are welcome including NDIS clients.
